FOH VOLUNTEER POSITIONS - Receive a complimentary ticket to the performance

Thursdays - Saturdays 8pm curtain, Sundays 2pm or 5pm curtain

Door Greeters

-Report to House Manager 1 hour before curtain

-Greet patrons as they arrive to venue

-Use key card to allow patrons into building and direct to theatre

EMPLOYMENT

PRODUCTION CREW - Paid Position

Seeking crew members for the production run of The Norwegians (September 22 - October 15) and Murder on the Links (December 1 -30)

Backstage Crew

-Report to the Stage Manager at assigned crew call

-Assist backstage with props and costume changes

-Other duties as assigned

Sound Board Op

-Report to the Stage Manager at assigned crew call

-Run sound board during performance

-Other duties as assigned

TEACHING ARTISTS - Paid Position

Seeking Teaching Artists for our Imaginators Winter, Spring and Summer Camps. The Teaching Artist position is a contracted position for Jan. 2-5, 2024, March 11-15, 2024 and multiple weeks in Summer 2024. Seeking applicants that are available for some or all of the 2024 camp weeks.

Responsibilities:

-Lead 1st-6th graders in devising, rehearsing, and performing a show

-Train with Austin Playhouse staff prior to camp

-Prep, lead, and wrap camp activities from 8am - 4pm on camp days

-Foster a child-led, collaborative environment

Requirements: 

-Must have teaching experience or training

-Must possess theatre experience and knowledge 

-Must pass a background check

About Imaginators Camps: Austin Playhouse seeks to nurture and develop young minds in the broader community through the lens of theatrical storytelling to stimulate empathy for others, build creative decision-making skills, and foster a diverse and inclusive environment for all learners. Campers deep-dive into the creative spaces of their minds to create a collaborative production with help from the professional artists of Austin Playhouse. The Play-making takes on every area of the theatrical experience from playwriting and design to performance in a fun-filled and empowering week campers won't forget!
