Austin Playhouse nurtures and develops campers through the lens of theatrical storytelling: building creativity, empathy, and fostering a diverse and inclusive environment for all learners.
Storytellers
Ages 5-6
In this week-long half day camp, the basics of performance are taught through creative play and theatre games. Through the use of popular storybooks, our youngest artists will be empowered to take the stage!
Imaginators
Ages 6-9
Campers participate in a choose-your-own adventure style production, creating characters, story and design elements, leading up to a final performance for family and friends!
Playhouse Players
Ages 9-12
Campers create and rehearse a jukebox musical production of their own design in this choose-your-own adventure style camp that leads up to a final performance for family and friends! (Campers under the age of 9 who have attended at least 2 Imaginators camps may be considered.)

Does my child need to have prior theatre experience?No experience necessary! In this child-led curriculum, our teaching artists are trained to meet each child where they are at in their experience and comfort level of performance. Through theatre games and group activities, your child will have a fun-filled week leading up to a performance of their own creation!

What is the cost?Storytellers Camp is $195 for a week-long half day camp. Imaginators Camp is $305 for a week-long camp. Playhouse Players Camp is $315 for a week-long camp. Early drop-off is available for all camps with an additional fee. Sibling discounts and multi-week discounts are available. Do you offer extended hours?8am Drop-Off is available for all camps.

What is the cancellation policy?Full refunds are available from the time of registration until 28 days prior to the first day of camp. Camp credit towards another session or 50% refund are available from 14-28 days prior to the first day of camp. No refunds are available from 14 days prior to the first day of camp, but camp credit towards another session is available.

What should I expect after registration?You will receive an email 1-2 weeks prior to camp with information about location, drop-off and pick-up, and what your camper will need to bring.
