What's included in The Ghostlight Season SUBSCRIPTION PASS?
Our season opens with Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins, continues with a world premiere adaptation of Agatha Christie’s The Mysterious Affair at Styles, and Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol adapted by Bernadette Nason (who plays more than 30 characters!). If you’d like to purchase a Ghostlight Season pass that includes access to all virtual productions and play readings, you may do so for $65 per household. (As everything is virtual, only one season pass is needed per household).
World premiere adaptation
Our Postcards from Austin series features a wide variety of Austin artists and diverse voices. The Postcards will premiere in November. All productions, readings, and Postcards are included with the Season Pass.
Special events like our upcoming workshops, Halloween Happy Hour, and Holiday Party will be sold separately.

How do I subscribe?
1) Purchase online
Simply click here and purchase your subscription online via our online ticketing system.
2) Purchase by check
If you would like to purchase your subscription via check, simply click here to print out your subscription card. Mail your sub card and check to PO Box 50533 Austin, TX 78756. Make sure to write the check out to Austin Playhouse.
3)Call the Box Office
Call Cyndi Williams, our box office manager, at 512-476-0084 and she will gladly take your information over the phone!
- Have I already subscribed for The Ghostlight Season?
Not yet! Live theatre stopped in March, before we started selling subscriptions for the 2020-2021 season.
- Do I need to buy multiple subscriptions for each member of my household?
As everything is virtual, only one season pass is needed per household.
- How can I purchase a subscription?

- Do I need to have a subscription to see Austin Playhouse's virtual events?
Absolutely not! We will sell single tickets for our productions, play readings, and most special events.
-I donated my 20th season ticket balance.
Thank you! We would love for you to join us for the Ghostlight Season. You will need to purchase a season pass. Please remember, you only need one pass per household.
-I have a credit from last season's subscription. Can I apply that to this season?
Yes. Your 20th Season credit will cover your Ghostlight Season subscription. You're also welcome to save the credit til we resume live productions. If you have a credit from the 20th season and would like to use it toward the Ghostlight Season, please email the box office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- I've subscribed, how do I access online events?
Links will be emailed to you 24 hours in advance of the performance. We are working to use streaming platforms that provide the maximum ease of access. These may evolve throughout the season as we discover the best way to deliver our virtual content. You will need to make reservations for plays with multi-night runs. Links to play readings and other one-night-only events will be emailed automatically.
- What is included in the Ghostlight season subscription pass?
A Subscription will give you access to the following productions and play readings:
Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins
Agatha Christie’s The Mysterious Affair at Styles
Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol adapted by Bernadette Nason
Plus all readings! Readings typically run for only one-night, so are bonuses throughout the season.
- How much does a subscription cost?
A Ghostlight Season pass that includes access to all virtual productions and play readings is $65 per household.
- Do I need to make reservations?
Yes, for multi-night events you need to email or call the box office and let us know what night you intend to watch the performance.
