This season we will produce our first productions in a temporary facility next to the building site of our new theatre. We will do everything we can to make this a comfortable and convenient experience, but we also hope you’ll join us with a spirit of adventure for this completely unique season. Each time you visit the temporary facility, you’ll be able to see the progress we’re making on our new theatre. Once it is complete, we’ll have all the amenities of a first-class facility. In the meantime, we look forward to sharing the adventure of our 2011-2012 season with you.

 

Where is the Austin Playhouse temporary facility?

- The temporary facility will be on the corner of Aldrich Street and Simond Avenue.
- On the map, the temporary site is just to the left of the star indicating our permanent site.
- The Lake Park is across the street from the temporary facility.

 

Directions:

from Central Austin: 45th Street
Head East on 45th Street to Airport Blvd. Turn Right onto Airport Blvd. Proceed under I35. The first traffic light is Aldrich Street. Turn left onto Aldrich Street. Pass Mueller Blvd and the temporary facility will be just ahead.

from Central Austin: 38 1/2 Street
Head East on 38 1/2 Street to Airport Blvd. Turn Left onto Airport Blvd. Turn Right at the Aldrich Street traffic light. Pass Mueller Blvd and the temporary facility will be just ahead.

from I-35
Exit Airport Blvd. Head East. The first traffic light is Aldrich Street. Turn left onto Aldrich Street. Pass Mueller Blvd and the temporary facility will be just ahead.

 

Parking

Street Parking:
Ample free street parking is available on Simond Avenue and Mueller Blvd.

SEDL Parking Lot:
Parking is also available for Austin Playhouse patrons in the SEDL parking lot just North of the temporary facility on Mueller Blvd. Proceed into the Mueller Redevelopment at Aldrich Street. Turn left onto Mueller Blvd. Take the second left onto Robert Browning and then turn right into the SEDL parking lot.
