Austin Playhouse continues their 12th season with Swinging 60’s Farce, Boeing-Boeing!

From the author of our hit 2007 comedy Don’t Dress for Dinner comes another fast-paced modern farce. Boeing-Boeing follows one swinging bachelor in 1960’s Paris as he attempts to juggle the affections of three lovely international flight attendants. His fine-tuned plans turn to chaos with bad weather and the introduction of a faster Boeing jet.

Bernard is an English architect living in Paris. When his old school friend, Robert, comes to visit, Bernard reveals the secret to his ideal bachelor living. He’s engaged to three beautiful women…all international flight attendants. He keeps “one up, one down and one pending” until unexpected schedule changes bring all three women to Paris, and Bernard’s apartment, at the same time.

The artistic team:
David Stokey (Laughter on the 23rd Floor) plays Bernard and Zach Thompson (The Night Hank Williams Died) plays Robert. The air hostesses are played by Lara Toner (Misalliance) as Janet, Hildreth England (Stop the World I Want to get off!) as Jacqueline, and Laura Walberg (The Mousetrap) as Judith. Bernadette Nason (Blithe Spirit) plays Bernard’s housekeeper, Bertha.

Austin Playhouse’s Producing Artistic Director Don Toner directs the production. Costume Design is by Buffy Manners (The Importance of Being Earnest), Set Design is by Jessica Colley-Mitchell (The Importance of Being Earnest), Sound Design is by The Gunn Brothers (The Lion in Winter), and Lighting Design is by Don Day (The Lion in Winter).
